Cross it off your bucket list [Part Two]
In a life full of what-ifs, choose to live with no regrets. Go out there. Experience. Feel. Love…Be that person who sees every day as a mystery rather than just another day in your routine. I know, I just made it all sound pretty exciting. So, here it goes. As promised on my last blog post, I will be sharing with you today what is on my bucket list.
First, I have a (little) confession to make:
I do not actually have a physical list.
I am sure many of you can relate (ahah). If I did have one though, this is what you would most likely find at the top of it :
1. Participating in Miss Universe (Check!). This experience made me feel alive in many ways. Even though, it was a constant battle…with my own self. I never thought of it as a competition with any other person and going that far in the competition made me feel invincible.
2. Ever since I was little, I have always been seduced by the idea of seeing the Wonders of the World. I have been fortunate enough to cross four of them off my list so far: The pyramids of Giza (which are actually the only one of the Wonders of the Ancient World still standing today) and three of the Wonders of the New World: the Colosseum, Christ the Redeemer and Petra. This means I still have four more to go: the Taj Mahal, Chichén Itzá, Machu Pichu and the Great Wall of China.
3. At the top of my list, you would certainly find happiness. Of course, we all want to reach nirvana right ? Some days, we might feel closer to it and other days, a bit further from it. It’s called life. Don’t get me wrong, this is totally normal. Aristotle, pioneer in the study of human happiness, said:
“ Happiness depends on ourselves”.
I believe this to be true and I consider the biggest challenge in life to be not letting anything or anyone come in the way of your happiness.
So yeah, I guess you get my point now with this post about crossing things off our bucket lists.
In a life full of what-ifs, be who you want to be and fight for what you want in your life ( you name it! ). There is so much to learn, so much to discover if you choose to smile at life.
