Don't let labels define you

The desert has always been associated with individual awakenings. In this vast and dry land of nothingness, you  hardly feel alone since your thoughts come to life. I remember being told, as a child, the story of Jesus retreating to the desert for 40 days and how overcoming his temptations played an important role in his self development. Believe me, some alone time is sometimes the best remedy to put your life back on track.

It is better to go towards the right direction slowly, then to go fast in the wrong direction.

We, humans, like to be consistent in everything we do and this is why making changes in our life can be so terrifying.

Get rid of your labels, if you feel like it is the right thing to do.

Personally, I do not do well with them. I had so many. Raquel The Optometrist, Raquel The Miss, and now Raquel The Consultant, and hopefully in a few months, Raquel The Digital Marketer.

I am constantly re-inventing myself.

Oscar Wilde was right.
He wrote in The Portrait of Dorian Gray :
"To define is to limit”.
YES. I am fully aware that I am giving the reason to someone perceived as insane and controversial, but I really believe that  particular statement coudn’t be more true.

At the end of the day, what really matters is that you keep growing and keep moving forward.

There is more to you than meets the eye.

Don’t let your labels define you.
